Godspeed Leonard Nimoy

Just like with the death of Bob Hoskins, no actor's death is more painful than the death of Leonard Nimoy. Nimoy, as we all know, was best known for playing Spock on Star Trek, the most logical character in all the universe. But he was more than just Spock, he was Galvatron from Transformers the movie, the Atlantian King from Atlantis: The Lost Empire and as Sentinel Prime in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Nimoy has done it all, actor, singer, stage performer and author, including writing books about his life and his career.  He died after a long bout with COPD, which was a result of him being a chain smoker.  Through Spock, Nimoy has taught us one thing, he taught us that the need of the many, outweigh the needs of the few or the one. A concept that I have been using since I started my path as an animation crusader. Putting aside my own needs for help others, is what makes me a better person. It never hurts to help. With that said, let me leave you with this little message that should be added in his gravestone:

Hear lies Leonard Nimoy, the man who has taught us that the needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few or the one. You have been, and always shall be, our friend.  Live long...and prosper.
